Dr. Kim
Dr. Kim serves as a faculty of Music Coaching at Midwest University. She got a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Music Coaching from Midwest University after having gotten her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance from Baekseok University in South Korea.
She works as an instructor of Christian Music Education at Theological Institute in Pakistan and as a researcher at the International Institute of STEAM Education Therapy.
In addition, she is a member of the ‘Main Street Orchestra’ as a violinist in Suwanee.
She moved to Georgia from Northern Virginia last summer. In VA she worked not only as a piano teacher, but also as a director for Korean Kids’ Song Academy at Washington D.C. area for 7 years and as a conductor for the Youth Orchestra.
She has been teaching students for 25 years. Currently, she has students of all ages, from very young learners to 70 years old. So, she has the ability and experience to teach students with love regardless of their age or level.
Her educational philosophy is that teachers are not just instructors, but also helpers. Therefore, teachers and parents should understand and encourage students instead of pushing them. This is how all students can enjoy music.
Ms Maran
Ms Maran is a native of Armenia and a graduate of Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan
where she received her Master’s degree in Opera and Concert Singer/Teacher in the field of Vocal Arts and Classical Singing. She also graduated from K. Sarajyan music school
in Yerevan with a concentration in piano and violin.
Being a soloist in the Yerevan State Opera and Ballet Theater, she was a performer, and at the same time a vocal coach in various musical theaters. She has worked with diverse groups and individuals from elementary kids, college students to professional singers in a wide range of genres such as pop, jazz, soul, R&B, rock, musical, opera, academic, old, and contemporary.
Since 2005, Ms Maran has been running her private vocal studio, where she has gained enough knowledge and experience and has processed sustainable mechanisms of teaching voice, giving excellent results in the shortest amount of time. This has been repeatedly proven by her many successful students.
Having had 2 decades of pedagogical practice as a voice teacher and coach for all vocal genres, Ms Maran was recognized as one of the best vocal teachers in Armenian show business, for which she received a certified honorary title. She was a jury member for various singing competitions.
Ms Maran had the honor to be a vocal advisor for “The Voice of Armenia” from 2013 to 2015. She was invited to Armenian Public Television to participate as a lead singer with “Kamil Show” in the Armenian Entry of Eurovision, and later she was invited as the voice teacher and vocal coach of Armenia’s team for Eurovision 2020.
Ms Maran has continued to enrich her teaching experience by working remotely with students from all over the world. In 2021 she moved to California to work with her students in person and help them perform live in front of an audience, and later on relocated to Georgia, where she recently joined Melomania Team.
Dr S Kim
Dr. Kim received a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano pedagogy at the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Baylor University and Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Music of Arts. Dr. Kim is a distinguished soloist, collaborator, and pedagogue recognized for his practical methods and teaching approaches in the best practices through “Lecture Recitals,” “Research Project Awards,” “Excellent Performance Grants,” and “Graduate School Music Talent Scholarships.” Have given numerous concerts and recitals with various vocal and instrumental soloists, as well as chamber ensembles throughout the States, including performing at Baylor University, Faulkner University, Oklahoma State University, Samford University, and the University of South Carolina. He has been an adjudicator for piano competitions and festivals. Moreover, he dedicated himself to piano performance and piano pedagogy with a variety of applications and insight gained through his wide range of
performance and teaching experience. Especially, working as a researcher and presenter in the field of piano pedagogy, Dr. Kim also specializes in teaching piano students with autism that aims at creating valuable and devoted opportunities to communicate with them in student-centered education.
Ms Kayla
Ms Kayla has been passionate about art from an early age, discovering how creativity can spark imagination, build confidence, and provide a meaningful outlet for self-expression—something she continues to cultivate in her work today.
She is a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, where she trained under professional Disney animators who helped shape her artistic voice and technical foundation.
Ms Kayla is experienced in a wide range of mediums, including painting, charcoal drawing, wire sculpture, clay, 3D modeling, and animation.
As a mother of two young girls, she brings a warm, patient, and encouraging presence into her classes. Kayla creates an engaging and supportive environment where children feel confident exploring their creativity while developing skills that will stay with them for years to come.
She is excited to share her love of art and guide young artists as they grow, express themselves, and discover joy in the creative process.
Mr Craig
Mr. Craig has committed himself to Music Education. He is also committed to making sure that students enjoy the learning process. He started studying classical guitar and piano from the age of 10 at the Conservatory of the Arts, St. Louis, Missouri. Then, In 1983, at about the age of 18, he attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. At the Musicians Institute, he studied with Keith Wyatt, Daniel Gilbert, Don Mock, Joe Pass, Frank Gambale, Paul Gilbert, and a variety of brilliant musicians. After Musicians Institute, he worked as a session musician in Los Angeles. He toured with several different rock bands. As a studio musician, Mr. Craig performed in the studio doing session work with Stevie Wonder, Jessie Johnson, Mikki Free, and WAR. He then entered the Studio/ Jazz Guitar Program at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Music and Political Science in 1990 from the University of Southern California.
Presently Craig continues his commitment to Music Education by pursuing further graduate education in the Georgia State University School of Music in the Jazz Studies Department. He plays in the Georgia State University Jazz Band. He also has played concerts with the Georgia State University Guitar Ensemble. Mr. Craig commits to teaching Music Theory as well. Also, Mr. Craig is a College Professor and an Attorney. In addition to the fun of teaching music, Mr. Craig also collects Marvel Comics and watches old movies from the 1950s, 1960's and 1970s. Mr. Craig embodies music through every word, gesture, and phrase. With his vast knowledge, he promises to impart the comprehension of ear training, improvisation, music theory, and instrumental excellence to all of his students and they will have fun doing it.
